Dark Knight... Dark Curse?

The Dark Knight just broke a new record. The movie became the fastest in history to break the $400 million domestic sales mark, doing so in just 18 days.

But the real talk around the town is the apparent curse the movie has.

As we all know, star Heath Ledger (the Joker) died of an accidental prescription drug overdose in January, shortly after he finished filming.

Eight months later, his death continues to make headlines with the on-going federal investigation. Actress and friend of Ledger's, Mary-Kate Olson, has refused to talk to investigators without immunity from prosecution. This could only lead to one thing - a subpoena.

Shortly after the weekend release of the film, star Christian Bale (Batman) made headlines for apparent assault allegations against his mother and sister.

Finally, just this past Sunday, star Morgan Freeman (Lucius Fox), was involved in a very serious car accident. He was life-flighted to a hospital where he remains in serious condition.

So what do you think? Is there a dark curse on the stars of The Dark Knight?
